  • What does this product cover?

    This product covers the following services:
    1. Road Ambulance evacuation
    In the event that one is faced with a medical emergency within Zimbabwe, this product covers the primary call, which is the initial evacuation to a medical facility. You will be taken to the nearest appropriate medical facility. Once you have been handed over to the hospital the duties & obligations will cease.
    2. Dial-A –Doc access through dialling 147
    Should you feel sick and require to consult a medical doctor. You can simply dial 147 and get connected to a medical doctor. The doctor will provide a telephonic consult and diagnosis. The prescription will be sent with prescribed medication which you can get from your nearest pharmacy.
    3. Health Tips
    Service that delivers reliable health advice and education for healthy living and wellness via sms

  • How do I join?

    Dial *182# to subscribe.

  • How many people are covered on the subscription?

    The subscription covers one person per US$2 for the month paid for

  • Does my membership mature?

    There is no maturity as it's monthly membership subscription

  • Do I get cash back if I don’t use the service?

    No, there is no cash back option available. Your monthly membership fee gives you access to access all services for free.

  • Is there a wating period?

    There is 3 month waiting period for ambulance services and 1 month for consultation services.

  • What conditions do not warrant a medical evacuation?

    -minor illness that can be addressed by Dial-A Doc consultation
    -where member is able to travel to the nearest medical facility as a sitting passenger
    -injuries resulting from self inflicted injury or suicide or participation in acts prohibited by Common Law of Zimbabwe

  • What warrants a medical evacuation?

    Medical evacuation is for a life or limb threatening emergency.

  • Can I choose the medical facility I want to go to?

    You will be evacuated to the nearest appropriate medical facility that will be able to adequately deal with your injury

  • Does it cover hospital transfers?

    This cover is for primary calls only.

  • If l'm in need of consultation services what number do l call?

    Dial 147 using the registered Econet mobile number only.

  • How many D-A-D calls am l eligible?

    You will be given access to 12 consultations/year.

  • Whom do l speak to when l call Dial A Doc?

    Qualified medical doctors are available on D-A-D service to assist you.

  • Who has access to D-A-D consultation?

    Only the registered member will have access to consultation services. One can not get service on behalf of someone else.

  • How do l get my prescription?

    The doctor will request for your email address and prescription will be sent to you.
